AL-LAD, also known as 6-allyl-6-nor-lysergic acid diethylamide, is a hallucinogenic drug and an analogue of LSD
A very interesting substance, not unlike a very visual, clean, euphoric lsd experience, but not as long. Dosage was approx 150 micorgrams, come up very subtle, took about 3 hours. When it hit, it hits hard and out of the blue. Visual/audio distortions, interesting euphoric body high, mental space not as much of a head trip as lsd, but it does take you there. Some feelings of anxiety, mostly due to how rapid things come on, and some spatial distortions which can make socializing somewhat difficult. Lasted around 6 hours, and the comedown seemed subtle, but ending on a good note. No body aches, no anxiety afterwards, CEV seemed present, but not intrusive.
Anyone else have experience with this?

Yeah it seems Shulgin found this compound a bit weak and Swim is looking for something more intense from psychedelics then LSD. here is a quote from shulgin regarding Al-Lad
(with 160 μg, orally) “I took 160 ug micrograms at 11 a.m. on an empty stomach and lay down to listen to a hypnotic relaxing tape, with eye shades and headphones. The onset was very gradual over two or three hours. There was some visual distortion similar to LSD, but mild. I decided that this was about as intense as it was going to get, so I lay down in the living room with the others. The experience continued to intensify over the next hour in intermittent waves. I had to verify that I was actually in a physical room rather than in the music I was hearing. There was never any fear or panic, but I chose to retreat to a private place for the next couple of hours. Soon I started to feel worse and I tried to gain some insight and relief from my negative attitude. I prayed, and I cried, and I began to feel calmer and had more positive thoughts as to how to deal with the others, but I was still afraid to go out into the group. I was afraid that my hopelessness would bother them but I eventually went back out at about the five hour point and the rest of the day was spent pleasantly and smoothly. I took 2.5 g of L-tryptophan to sleep, and I slept well, waking twice.”

I wouldn't say it was "weaker" than LSD, though it didn't have as much of mind melting, ego loss, or confusion. It does end up being a lot like 2CB in that regard. Playful, colorful, somewhat of a body high, geometric visualizations and distortions. Lots of smiling.
